At this year’s Hustopečské Skákání Agrotec 2020 will be present another High Jump legend. The former World Champion Inga Babakova is currently working as a coach of Austrian high jumpers who will compete in youth and B competitions.
This originally Lithuanian athlete represented first the Soviet Union and later Ukraine. She made her way to the Olympic Games three times. In 1996 she won a bronze medal at the Olympics in Atlanta (201 cm). Four years later, she ended up 5th (196 cm) in Sydneyand then 9th (193 cm) at the Summer Games in Athens in 2004.
Altogether, she has 8 medals from indoor and outdoor World Championships (between years 1991 and 2001). She won the most valuable one in 1999 in Seville, where she became the World Champion. With her personal record of 205 cm, she ranks among the world"s top high jumpers of all times.
